Just a year after the inauguration of Torel Palace Porto, located within Palacete Campos Navarro, the most audacious gastronomic project undertaken by the Torel Boutiques group is born, a sensorial journey where our palate and emotions take centre stage.
As a tribute to José Saramago’s “Ensaio Sobre a Cegueira”, the rear of this iconic building now provides the venue for a bold yet welcoming mise-en-scène, conceived around a central bar and more intimate details, where dark tones or dim lighting set the tone, alongside “the portrait of the Portuguese author designed by Jorge Curval”, we are told by Isabel Sá Nogueira, who was responsible for the interior project.
Combining perfectionism, determination and an enviable international background, Chef Vítor Matos is responsible for orchestrating a range of Blind Experiences, gastronomic moments determined solely by the seasonality of the ingredients and “possible allergies of each guest”.
