Although it has been open since September 2022, it actually all started before that, when Eric and Zoe Kleinbub bought the iconic Piano Building in the La Jolla Boulevard neighbourhood — an architectural landmark designed by William Kesling in 1949 — and preserved to this day.
Right in the middle of San Diego’s Bird Rock neighbourhood and the La Jolla community, the owners set about creating an environment that would gracefully evoke a sense of paradise, bringing together the scenarios of “birds, paradise and the ocean”.
Overlooking the Pacific, the ocean breeze brings with it to the table fresh, seasonal options, cocktails and meals that provide the perfect opportunity for sharing. In the kitchen, the renowned American chef, Mark Welker, brings his vast award-winning experience to the flavours experienced here, in recipes that have been developed with the owners and transformed by the team.
As for the paradise-like vibe and for the interior design project, the couple relied on the creativity of the Georgis & Mirgorodsky studio, based in New York but who happened to have a design office located close to them in La Jolla.

Known for their edgy aesthetics and their flair for outstanding results, they brought together their dedication to detail and eclecticism, and developed this project with it fun colours, extravagant wallpapers and details conveying a sophisticated feel.
