Designer Zhang Haihua has completed a project for a boutique hotel in the old city of Suzhou, transforming three existing residential buildings into a courtyard building whose layout is inspired by the traditional Jiangnan-style houses of the region. 

Designed to be a "home away from home", Saboaria Boutique Hotel Porto was born next to the building that once housed the iconic Saboaria do Bolhão. Preserving its history, this boutique hotel combines the art of hospitality with both physical and mental well-being. 

A building full of history in the centre of Lisbon, once owned by the Sagres Insurance Company and later acquired by the Azorean group Bensaude, which transformed it into its head office, de-characterising its interiors and façades in the process, is now enjoying a comeback following a seven-year restoration project by the architect team led by Luís Rebelo de Andrade.
