For years, this 12th-century castle has been a destination for gastronomic pilgrims, thanks to the vision of Andreas Caminada, whose three-Michelin-star restaurant has shaped the identity of the place. In celebration of the restaurant's 20th anniversary and, curiously, also that of the Space Copenhagen studio, the interiors have been redesigned in an initiative that honours the past and present, as well as heritage and craftsmanship.
The renovation fosters a sensitive dialogue between heritage and contemporaneity. In the foyer, the stone and wood architecture is complemented by carefully selected pieces: objects from Studio Oliver Gustav are joined by Maverick Lee's stone table and Michael Verheyden's brass lamp, achieving a hushed and restrained elegance. In the restaurant, soft light glides across textured walls, while furniture made by local artisans and De La Espada's Sela chairs define an intimate and ceremonial atmosphere. In the bar, warm tones and compelling shapes, from &Tradition's Loafer sofas to Frama's Sintra tables, create a welcoming haven.
