Offering the quality of a museum underpinned by a powerful concept, the recently inaugurated restaurant and cocktail bar Charcohol – whose name comes from a combination of charcoal and alcohol – can be found in a historic building in Shanghai. The house speciality? Global cuisine on charcoal grills – with the slogan forest and fire – and personalised cocktails.

The refurbishment of the premises respected the historical heritage of this building located in the centre of Shanghai through the methodical project delivered by Shirley Dong and Andrea Maira from Studio8, with the establishment unfolding through a series of dining rooms.
