Right at the heart of the iconic Efteling theme park, the Efteling Grand Hotel was inaugurated this summer as a retreat where the surrounding magic meets the sophistication of contemporary hospitality.
The project features 140 rooms and suites, and transforms the park's imagery into an immersive experience, evoking the cinematic universe of Wes Anderson's The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Designed by the architecture and design studio Heinzel De Vries, well known for creating bold interiors that enhance the hospitality experience, this project stands out as a true stage for theatricality and detail. Organic, rounded shapes, chequered floors and materials such as marble, wood, brass and terrazzo combine to create a setting where luxury and comfort converge. The colour palettes are inspired by the surroundings: the greens are reminiscent of the Fairytale Forest, na enchanted forest full of fairy tale characters, and the reds evoque the Pardoes Promenade – the park's main avenue.

The design focuses on family comfort, with rooms designed for guests of all ages and where bunk beds offer an enticing retreta for children.
