The new Anest Collective store — a project designed by Waterfrom Design — embodies refinement and simplicity, a groundbreaking union between fashion, art and architecture.
This space, in Chengdu, China, explores the origins and identity of the Italian luxury brand and redefines the concept of the boutique, elevating it to an aesthetic experience where each element becomes part of an ever-changing narrative.
This store represents an expression of the creative process itself, with inexact arrangements and constantly changing materials. In contrast to the metropolitan silhouettes, the Anest Collective new space presents a melange of textures, shapes and lights, where the “unfinished” is as valued just as much as the finished result. The simplicity of the space is based on a logic of construction that remains uncompromising and gives free reign to the imagination — an influence of the Canadian architect Frank Gehry.

The feel of fabric is present in various details: the rough floor; hand-drawn sketches scattered haphazardly on the walls; the fusion of textures and irregular lines in various details, evoking the folds of adorned fabrics.
