Beyond their Belgian nationality, Bert Jeuris and Ludovic Beun also share a deep passion for Portugal. After numerous trips to the eastern Algarve, the pair decided they had to share this place with the world.
This is how the Addresses came about; a new brand of hospitality that not only seeks to showcase the best of the region, but also to ensure a memorable experience for those who stay in their guesthouses.
Casa Um, set in a one-hectare property in Tavira, among fields and orange groves, has been the starting point of this story. The renovation of this house – once belonging to a shepherd – was the responsibility of Atelier Rua. The result is a minimalist space, offering the perfect combination of old and new to highlight the Algarve’s architecture. Behind the whitewashed walls, the decoration of the spacious rooms – their details highlighted in earthy colours and bathed in natural light – was the work of Studio Stories.

The original home has been converted into a kitchen and living room, with views over the terraces, garden and inner courtyard (the ideal place to begin each new day). The old stables now accommodate the dining room, with a view of the pool, where the main idea is to gather everyone around the table to enjoy a good Portuguese wine.
