There’s a new must-visit on the New York art scene: it’s called Quarters and it is a multifaceted space situated in a historic loft in a 19th century building in the Tribeca neighbourhood, making it truly inspiring.
It is both a concept store and a meeting place that aims to be ‘a living ode to community, craftsmanship and the power of collaborative design’. Behind this concept are Felicia Hung and Nick Ozemba, the founders of the lighting brand In Common With, who recreate that intimate feeling of home in a place where people share, with a creative and purposeful connection.
Spread over 700 m², in addition to a bedroom, kitchen and living room, Quarters hosts spaces for temporary installations, dinners and special events. In addition to these, there is a bar, a lounge area and a library. Each area is furnished with pieces developed or selected by Hung and Ozemba, creating a powerful fusion of artistic forces. The selection is eclectic and all the pieces on display are for sale, from vintage furniture to lighting and decorative items, united by a common visual language that emphasises the quality of design with a heritage of craftsmanship.

The decoration is based on partnerships, such as the participation of artists like Sophie Lou Jacobsen, Shane Gabier and Claudio Bonuglia, among others.
