Truth be told, nobody actually shared this with us but, even so, we’ll venture to write about it: if you’re in search of exploring something extraordinary and ready to see all your expectations exceeded, this is the best way there.
We’re talking about The Haven, an area on the Norwegian cruise ship Prima, which transcends all notions and descriptions of what life on a large cruise ship might be like.
Comprising eight decks with 107 suites and public spaces — all featuring sea views — it also includes a lounge area, restaurant and two bars, all brought together in this project by the Lissoni & Partners practice.
With a markedly residential inspiration, the interiors have been designed to provide a welcoming and intimate ambiance, offering guests a highly personalised experience, ensuring they feel at home.
From Art Deco to French decorative styles, the dialogue between different influences leaves room for colourful contemporary elements and modern bespoke furniture. These are all combined with a careful selection of materials and finishes, all chosen with the sole intent of making the spaces as compelling as possible.
In chromatic terms, green has a significant presence, both in the reception area and in the bar — note the vertical surfaces clad in sage green fabric, conferring a sense of relaxation to the space.

The living areas are organised around a winter garden with full-height shelving, creating the sensation of being in a private living room.
