An unrestrained – yet absolutely pleasant and inviting – fraternisation of colours, textures and patterns.
Hannah Cecil Gurney's heritage could only but lead her to an obsession with colour. She is, after all, the director of de Gournay, founded in 1986 by her father, Claud. A brand with a worldwide reputation for its exuberant hand-painted wallpapers.
This relationship inspired her, together with her husband Eddie, to embrace the renovation of a typical Victorian house, located in an idyllic residential neighbourhood, only a few steps away from Battersea Park, in London.

Conscious that colour is "the most important tool in transforming the character of a house", Hannah completed this refurbishment project last year. Inside, we can identify some of the most iconic and beautiful wallpapers by de Gournay, as well as porcelain and textile pieces also created by the brand.
