Located in Perth, Australia, this house, where wood and cement prevail, has the signature of the State Of Kin studio and all of its furniture comes from the Mobilia store.
Built next to a lake, the house embraces the landscape through a mechanical system that allows the timber façade to open and close. The ground floor houses the garage, the wine cellar and the entrance hall. The two upper floors guard the private areas, with the bedrooms and the social area on the top floor where the kitchen is located and an outdoor area with a swimming pool.
Patricia Urquiola's name stands out as we go through the entire area of the house: in the bathroom, where the Shimmer colored mirror is located, which Urquiola designed for Glass Italia; in the living room, which received a geometric rug for CC Tapis; or outside where all the furniture is Patricia Urquiola for Kettal.
Sober but intense, the project surprises by the way the shapes and colors of the chosen furniture coordinate with the elegant architecture of the building.
