With art running through their veins, they could hardly refrain from displaying one of the most iconic places of their childhood: the house designed by their grandfather Artur, in which several of their grandmother Helena's works are featured.
Situated close to the village of Burgau, not far from the historical centre of Lagos, Casa do Barco bears reminiscences of the purest and most fraternal love possible. Built in 1984, the residence has now been refurbished in keeping with the simplicity of the design, ensuring harmony between the building and its natural surroundings. The large Windows maximise the magnificent Algarvian light, and the wood and soft tones serve as a backdrop for memorable moments once experienced by this family of artists, and which now invite anyone who is interested to experience them too. Besides family memories, there are unique exhibits that deserve to be (re)visited: the original record collection, the paintings that decorate the walls and, of course, the sailing boat, which remains intact, in the exact spot where their grandfather Artur left after his last trip out to sea.
