“Every Rolex Tells a Story”. The slogan of the acclaimed Swiss brand fits to perfection the description of the new Rolex Tower in Ginza, Tokyo.
In this building, located on Chuo-Dori Avenue and designed by Gwenael Nicolas of Curiosity studio, the precision of the engineering, the mastery of the architecture and the subtlety of its timeless design are an expression of the essence of the spectrum of ‘The Rolex Way’.
The façade incorporates Rolex’s characteristic bezel pattern through a metal structure embedded in glass, with gradations that emphasise the dynamic effect, from top to bottom. The pattern changes depending on the viewing angle, creating a kinetic effect.
The Rolex flagship store, which occupies four floors of the building, is visible from the outside through an imposing green door with straight lines. The interior space, created with a subtle palette of materials — travertine, Japanese Sen wood and frosted glass — entices customers to explore the upper floors, with a lift surrounded by spiral staircases, in a dynamic experience with a unique and dedicated service.
With sales areas distributed on each floor, the second floor features a large bar in green stone and lacquered finishes, offering an open space that leads to private rooms carved in travertine. On the third floor, an exclusive lounge for guests is decorated with premium materials that give it a distinctive and sophisticated Japanese feel.
