Away from the hectic pace of Manhattan, in the centre of historic Hudson in New York State, we find a place that is evocative of home, distant times and different geographies.
In a true ode to the world of its creators, The Maker provides a unique experience for all who visit. Immersed in an eclectic charm reminiscent of the bohemian glamour of the “old world”, the hotel occupies three historic buildings, with a total of 11 rooms.
Owned by the co-founders of the Fresh brand, Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg, and the hospitality specialist Damien Janowicz, this boutique hotel was inaugurated in 2020 and joins a growing number of refuge-locations in New York. A veritable sanctuary that embodies an ethos of world design that has been shaped by decades of travel, including 19th century industrial design, La Belle Époque, Art Déco and mid-20th century periods.

The interior design project has lavished particular attention to detail and sustainability was also a requisite. The aim was to preserve as much as possible of the original features of the buildings by preserving the stained-glass windows, ornamental fireplaces, hand-painted ceilings and mosaic flooring. As for the decoration, over 70% of it is vintage.
