Located at close quarters to the Central Business District and bustling Chinatown, the ParkRoyal on Pickering is based on the ‘hotel-in-a-garden’ concept, with more than 15 thousand square metres of lush vegetation, cascades and vertical gardens. Designed by the WOHA architecture practice, the undulating design of the façade derived its inspiration from Bali rice fields. The environmentally friendly ethos of this imposing building is addressed through the installation of energy and water saving features. One of the highlights are the soaring sky gardens, with an extensive variety of flora, ‘nourished’ by solar energy.
