Located in Kyusyu, the Saga Prefectural Museum just reopened its doors after a complete remodel supervised by artist Tokujin Yoshioka, who was born on this south east island of Japan. Thus, the artist celebrates the reopen with a solo exhibition where his most emblematic pieces will be on show, such as Honey-pop (2001), Water Block (2011) and Venus (2008).
The exhibition will also present the installation Tornado, showed previously at the Design Miami 2007 event. Composed by more than two million transparent straws, the installation will occupy the space of the new exhibition rooms.
Runs until 2 August.
