As soon as we enter this country estate, located just a few kilometres from the centre of Estremoz, we sense its warm and tranquilising atmosphere. We quickly apprehend it almost dreamlike serenity among the olive trees as our gaze takes in Serra d’Ossa and Evoramonte. We’re at Dá Licença, an outstanding hotel that was inaugurated in March, 2018, located at Outeiro das Freiras and which is the fruit of the aesthetic vision of Vitor Borges and Franck Laigneau. It was originally intended to be a holiday home, but it was not long before it evolved into a guesthouse, that combines a comforting welcome with a more artistic and contemporary character.
