Since 2009, the Vo Trong Nghia practice (VTN Architects), based in Vietnam with offices in Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi, has been moving away from the use of steel concrete and glass, seen as essential construction materials in the Western world. The team has surprised everyone by adopting bamboo and patches of vegetation as the most important elements in the construction of their projects, appealing to a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly urban experience.
