Japanese artist Azuma Makoto is already known for his botanical installations, which often include bonsai trees in unexpected places. This time he chose the abandoned facilities of a power plant in Belgium to introduce an installation with a bonsai. The tree is suspended in the centre of one of the towers of the industrial unit, through a metal structure that supports the plant with the help of steel cables. In this work Makoto explores the relationship between architecture and nature, and the contrast between the natural and the built.
