For the remodelling project of a 40 year-old apartment in Taipei, the interior design studio
CHI-TORCH deliberately left some details of the original construction visible. Therefore,
we find in several points the unfinished brick-works, contrasting with the polished light grey
of the remaining walls.
The space's decoration has a strong industrial feel, with huge hanging lamps in the kitchen,
and metallic furniture spread throughout the apartment. Some details of the 181 sq.-m
further emphasize the contrast between old and new, such as the aged wood wall
in one of the bedrooms.
