The Bessa Pereira Gallery recently opened the exhibition Substitute of artist Pedro Casqueiro. In the space at Rua de São Bento in Lisbon, a dozen of the most recent works from the artist can be found until 20 April.
The works exhibited show the deviation of Pedro Casqueiro from classical painting, through his experimental style. “The compositions on display on the walls of the gallery associate painting, drawing and object, in a sole format that challenges gender and proposes new ways of reading the elements that normally are not a part of the artistic context”.
