Thom Browne’s new flagship store in London fits perfectly into luxurious Albemarle Street, the shopping street that connects Piccadilly to Bond Street. The gray-painted facade and shop windows shaded by Venetian blinds hide sophisticated interiors: the walls and flooring are covered in Silk Georgette marble and the ceiling is dotted with backlit squares. This shop was made with particular care as Thom often likes to walk around these streets with some friends. The interior walls look like monolithic pieces that hide the dressing rooms, a mahogany chest and storage compartments.The London flagship store features some selected pieces of furniture among which an elegant Jacques Adnet desk.

The facade is composed by high portals reminiscent of classical heritage. The brand new retail store in classic Thom Browne design is characterized by Bardiglio marble walls and black and white Terrazzo stone flooring.
Elegance with a little austerity is confirmed by the set of vintage furniture enriching the space.

The partnership between ASA studio albanese and the fashion brand Thom Browne New York, started in 2017, with the purpose of conceiving and designing the new flagship stores in Europe and Asia.
From the beginning it became clear that it would be a very stimulating design challenge, which could not avoid a deep reflection around the idea of a new harmonious relationship with which the brand has overthrown the menswear canon.

To develop this concept, on authoritative bases, ASA studio albanese began a genealogical journey on the idea of proportion, being inspired by Leonardo’s “golden ratio” and homo vitruvianus. The result is an austere elegance, rigorous yet informal, in which the space is marked by a few but recognizable elements which presents small adaptive variations from time to time.

The materials and the furniture create a little catalog of sober elegance, with the Terrazzo floors, the Bardiglio grey marble walls and steel windows with Venetian blinds.
