We find ourselves in Eixample neighbourhood, next to Passeig de Gracia, where we uncover the most recent international address of Boa-Bao, an Asian restaurant that should feature on your Barcelona's itinerary. After Oporto and Lisbon, the restaurant occupies a former art gallery, offering all visitants “an authentic Asian adventure”, not only through the ingredients and flavours but also through the created environment.

With two floors and 140 seats, inside its blue and red atmosphere, one can find iconic original details - such as dragons, buddhas or Bordallo Pinheiro swallows - but also pieces of furniture that transport us to a Saigon canteen of the 20s, through the wood tables, bench seats in brown skin or the lamps. Highlights also include the paintings by the Belgian artist Yael Hupert, representing an Asian woman, that enhance the sophistication and mysticism of the space; and the counters, created in partnership with artisan Pio.

Before returning to the urban throng, take the time to enjoy the delicious baos, soups, woks or curry dishes, inspired by Asian best-sellers, while you savour a homemade cocktail, prepared in the inviting bar.
