Located on the storied grounds of the former Quinta da China, the development revives the "botanical soul" that once captivated the painter Aurélia de Sousa. Amidst a landscape of magnolias and camellias, the architecture yields to the natural light and the unique topography of the terrain. Structured across a series of verdant terraces, the design ensures that the river remains a shared horizon for every residence.
Crafted by the developer EMERGE, Aurios comprises 26 exclusive villas and 22 premium apartments. Here, noble materials, such as oak and natural stone, set a sophisticated pace. The Garden Villas, situated on the very first line of the river, represent the pinnacle of this symbiosis: expansive private courtyards with infinity pools that seem to dissolve into the Douro, paired with interiors that exude a calm, cosmopolitan elegance.

The kitchen as the heart of the home
Within the interior scheme, the kitchen transcends its functional roots to become a masterful piece of architectural integration. Signed by Santos, the KARMEL model in a Pearl White SM finish was selected to enhance the luminosity and purity of lines that define the project.
The centerpiece of this space is the ingenious retractable door system. When closed, the kitchen adopts a serene, monolithic appearance, seamlessly blending into the living area; when opened, it reveals a high-precision technological hub powered by Gaggenau. The central island, finished with the sculptural presence of XTONE veined stone, serves as a natural transition to the dining room, effortlessly balancing the warmth of timber with the cool, refined edge of stone.
