This house offers a serene, spa-like environment, surrounded by the imposing landscape of the Mojave Desert.
The stucco exterior, interior decoration and artwork blend perfectly with the desert's colour palette and are inspired by the traditional crafts of Mexico and the US Southwest.
Located about 30 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, offering breathtaking views and sunsets, The Bust'n B Ranch - once a ranch - features a design that puts us in permanent contact with the surroundings. Initially built in 2003, the house was completely remodelled in 2023 and takes on a style with influences from Mexico, California and Arizona, mixing many elements of traditional craftsmanship with a touch of modernity.
The complete transformation of the house features many bespoke pieces produced by artisans and artists, showcasing authentic savoir-faire with a contemporary twist in a cosy atmosphere.
“This home reflects a blend of old world character and a modern perspective,” says interior designer Sydney Ballesteros. “It is warm, but refined. Grounded in the high desert you will feel the careful consideration of place and natural light, as well as a connection to earth materials and layers of culture, heritage and texture found in the curated selection of design objects and finishing choices. It offers an appreciation for the simple landscape of a world without interruption that existed before us.”
The result is a rejuvenating refuge, perfect for weekend getaways or holiday trips.
