Occupying a floor of a building designed in 1978 during the period of Brutalism architecture, Souza Cescon office commissioned the project for their new office in Rio de Janeiro, totaling 960 square metres, from Reinach Mendonça studio.

The intervention project sought to take advantage of the stunning views for the iconic Pão de Açúcar, ending up restructuring the distribution of the different areas, so that visitors could immediately be delighted by the exterior views when arriving at the reception. A mirrored wall was also included the create the illusion of a bigger space.

A central axis defines the work of the studio, which places on the opposite side of the lobby a library, conceived around shared tables and workspaces; several layers’ private rooms and also conference rooms, filled with natural daylight. Highlights also include the amazing lighting fixture designed by architect Frank Gehry, a piece that enhances a much-needed sense of movement, now with a touch of contemporaneity.
