From the very first concept, the guiding principle was clear: to merge with nature without disturbing it, preserving every existing tree on the site. Covering 170 square metres, the house is fully oriented towards the forest. Its expansive glazed façade acts as a living frame, blurring the boundary between indoors and outdoors and allowing natural light and verdant views to shape the spatial experience.
Inside, the same philosophy prevails. Drawing inspiration from the landscape, the interiors evoke a sense of calm and balance, enriched by a carefully curated selection of art, vintage furniture and unique pieces imbued with character and history. Each element plays a role in creating a warm, almost meditative atmosphere, where time seems to slow down.
The ground floor unfolds in a circular, fluid and functional layout, bringing together a double-height living room, dining area, kitchen and bathroom. This arrangement enhances visual continuity and natural circulation, reinforcing the idea of the house as a living, breathing entity. Upstairs, the private areas include the main bedroom, a children’s room, a guest bedroom and two bathrooms, all designed to ensure comfort, privacy and a constant visual connection to the surrounding landscape.
Material choices further strengthen the bond with nature. Wooden floors, marble worktops and stainless steel coexist in a subtle balance between warmth and contemporary precision. Much of the furniture and built-in elements was custom-designed for the space, highlighting the project’s attention to detail and overall coherence.
The colour palette and textures were thoughtfully selected to resonate with the exterior, visually extending the forest into the interiors. Nothing is excessive, nothing is accidental, every decision contributes to a cohesive whole.

This project stands as a clear example of conscious, sustainable design, where aesthetics and functionality go hand in hand. A home that does not impose itself on the landscape, but lives in symbiosis with it. A contemporary retreat where living means, above all, remaining connected to nature.
