Situated in the heart of Dallas, Texas, this project was a testament to the transformative power of architecture. The once sprawling ranch, originally designed and built in the late 1970s, has been meticulously renovated into a modernist masterpiece, blending seamlessly with its surroundings.

The vibrant pieces stand out against the neutral backdrop, while the rich tones of rosewood, Pietra grey stone, and reddish woods create striking harmonies. Born in Mexico City, the owners now live in the United States with their two children after spending several years in Brazil. In Brazil, they developed a keen interest in the modernist movement and began collecting, and this house pays homage to those influences.
A warm, rich palette recalls the years spent in Mexico and Brazil. In-home aesthetics, the predominant choice is evident: warm neutral tones contrast with soft walls, establishing an atmosphere of elegance and tranquillity. The natural colours inherent in the materials effortlessly create a comforting and inviting atmosphere.

A passion for Brazilian modernism
Interior designer Joshua Rice wanted to expand and enhance his selection of Brazilian modernist pieces characterised by bold shapes, innovative design and local cultural elements. The aim was to create a collection of unique and sophisticated works that complement each other, developing a narrative of high-quality design and craftsmanship, capturing Brazil's living identity and quest for modernity.
