For years Gran and Nick Travelled extensively all over the European continent, and bit by bit they began to nurture the dream of having a home away from their home in Cape Town, South Africa. A place of their own where they could welcome their friends for part of the year. Portugal was their first choice. And Porto was the city where they could picture themselves living, because of the easygoing daily life, the unpretentious cosmopolitanism, the admirable gastronomy, the inspiring cityscapes easily covered on foot.
In 2019, the pandemic curbed all movement, but thanks to new technologies and the support of a friend from Lisbon the unexpected happened: they found the apartment they had been looking for, on Rua da Bandeirinha.

The 18th-century building is located in Miragaia, on the historic Monte Alto dos Judeus, with its views over the river and the Horto das Virtudes. The architectural office and developer, Duarte Morais Soares, represented in this project by the architect Mariana Moreira da Fonseca, transformed the exemplary baroque building into luxurious residential units.
