Scandinavian style has become relevant in interior design around the world for years. Playwood, a two-story apartment with an area of 83 m2 located in Sofievskaya Borshagovka, is just one more example of this trend.
The clients, a young couple who works from home and likes to receive friends, wanted a cozy apartment, in openspace, with a simple design.
The studio Lauri Brothers, responsible for the interior design of the apartment, decided to work in Scandinavian minimalism and did not fail: despite the contention and severity of the forms, the interiors are homely and welcoming. Light tones predominate that contrast, a little throughout the house, with the green of the plants.
On the ground floor there is a bathroom, a kitchen and a dining area where the colorful accents stand out. The upholstery of the chairs and the baked clay lamp are finished in cherry and terracotta. The lights above both tables are decorated with live plants.
Another of the most striking areas of this project is a loggia, which is next to the kitchen and which the designers separated and specially equipped to transform it into a rest area. The entire area of the loggia is covered with deep blue pillows, decorated with indoor plants that contrast with the wood and make this the perfect place to relax and read a book.
A sheet metal staircase leads to the second floor, where a double work table and sleeping area are located. The ceiling slopes are finished with boards and there is no bed - instead, we found a double mattress on a perforated podium with soft sides, as was the wish of the customers. There, you can feel a calm and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a sleeping area.
