With the aim to highlight this legacy, award-winning i29 interior design studio has been responsible for the restoration of the building’s interiors, creating a charismatic and authentic project.
Considering a major Dutch cultural reference, the Felix Meritis building was built in 1788 and still continues to pay tribute to the ancestral ideals of the Enlightenment. With the aim to highlight this legacy, award-winning i29 interior design studio has been responsible for the restoration of the building’s interiors, creating a charismatic and authentic project, where every space refers to a specific period of the building’s history.

But there are more examples: “In the Shaffyzaal, all colors and materials refer to the illustrious sixties and Dutch artist Ramses Shaffy, when the room served as a meeting place for the Dutch avant-garde” or in “the Huslylounge, former office space at the time of the political party CPN, has undergone a complete metamorphosis and has been transformed into a colorful garden room; executed in fresh colors and flooded with natural light by a large new skylight.”
Both in appearance and experience, i29 studio managed to create a building that brings together past and present, with respect and creativity that will captivate not only locals but also travels in the city.
