The Imperial Erskineville is a daring hotel where the past is preserved while seeking to define the future. Once a respected refuge for the Australian LGBTQI community in 1983, this refurbished three-storey building now provides a space for their delight and enjoyment.

The historic character of this theatre, where the idea for the iconic film ‘The Adventures of Priscilla – Queen of the Desert” was born, was recently preserved by the Alexander and Co. practice. As a place of hedonism, the project set about reinventing this hotel, transforming it into a venue for celebration, discovery, where diversity and differences are respected.
