We are on the Flatiron District, in Manhattan, where we went to discover this bright and relaxed apartment conceived by the American studio P&T Interiors.
With a style that is both elegant and eclectic, combining perfectly with tradition and modernity, this home is a refuge, where the owner’s tastes and influences dominate. “The main challenge was to elevate the original detail of the building by creating an interplay between the existing architecture and the contemporary elements”, explained the founder & designer Pol Theis, responsible for the interiors.
In fact, this house seeks a chromatic purity, warmed by a diversity of materials and artworks, some designed by well-known names such as Cindy Sherman, Julian Schnabel, Tom Sachs or Chris Burden, others conceived by younger industrial designers like Daniel Becker, Arthur Umanoff and Paul McCobb.
“The main asset of this pre-war residence are the views from one of the 20 windows facing the North, East and West”, he added, offering panoramic views for all over the city. Here, everything is seamlessly integrated, from the small black powder room to the comfortable master bedroom. A “highly livable” residence with a touch of sophistication.
