The Transition; Warm/Wet project co-designed by Istanbul-based TabalıoÄŸlu Architects and renowned artist and the industrial designer Arik Levy, is a conceptual installation, which is part of the Ten Designers in the West Wing at Somerset House, where some of the world’s biggest names in design have been invited to display their work. It was launched during the London Design Festival 2015. Sophisticated and transcendental, the striking installation incorporates water, light and movement to create two different environments, each carefully composed to trigger an emotion. The dramatic result takes inspiration from the interaction between the particles and elements that form our planet Earth, with an emphasis on light and water. Created by Melkan Gürsel, Partner at TabanlıoÄŸlu Architects and instigator of the project, and Arik Levy, a long-standing friend of the practice, Transition; Warm Wet is an interdisciplinary collaboration between architecture and art.
