    At Espace Louis Vuitton Paris

The Franco-British artist Alice Anderson was invited to create an exhibition for Espace Louis Vuitton in Paris. Entitled Data space the show was inspired by the space itself and gives continuity to the galery’s exploration of the relation of art and thread.
In Data space Alice Anderson porposes a new process to record memories. “Anderson’s intuition that the digital revolution will prove to be as critical to human memory as was the advent of writing, has led her to create a concept of “recording the present” using copper wire. With this material she creates a new physical relationship to objects and space.”
With her own technique to work the copper wire, Anderson involves the objects with this material in a kind of performance, where every one is invited to participate. In the end, the “mummified” objects become sculptures that in this case register physical data from the Espace Louis Vuitton’s architecture.
