A country house is located on the top of a sloped land surrounded by a forest in Bolton East, Quebec, Canada. The architecture studio Nature Humaine designed the project having in mind the client’s special request of a house in perfect symbiosis with nature.
The structure develops in two stacked volumes; one of them made of wood is anchored to the mountain and supports the one on top. Therefore, when observed from specific angles the building seems to float on the landscape. Ample views over Mount Orford can be contemplated from the long horizontal strip window on the house’s social area.
