Turkish artist Nevin Aladag covered an outside wall of the Kunsthalle Basel with an installation named Marsch. In her artistic work, Aladag often explores materials and objects of daily use. “By removing objects from their original context and thus rendering them dysfunctional, Aladag changes the way they are read and draws attention to the manifold aspects of their function and use”, is stated on a communication from the museum.
For the installation Marsch, the artist used a wall as a large sheet of music that shows the beginning of Rondo alla Turca by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The installation can be visited until 21 June 2015 at the Kunsthalle in Basel.
