For interior designer Georgia Interior Design and Studio Arte, composing a new home on a natural area of São Bartolomeu de Messines was all about simplicity, connecting to the land, always with a Portuguese touch. The result is Casa Belo Horizonte, a luxurious oasis where simplicity meets elegance, created to express the clients’ love for the country.

“The biggest wish of the client was to create an open kitchen. We wanted that the house was connected, reflecting a clean look with a barn touch that could simultaneously fit them and the area,” says the interior designer, a preference that explains the team’s decision to change the interior walls, open the kitchen and add bedrooms. With a white and grey colour palette on the walls, in contrast with materials such as wood, sisal, and rattan, the warm atmosphere can be felt all over the space, where we uncover small details like the cushions or Gervasoni ceramic tables.

One of the highlights remains the concrete staircase with micro cement finishes, a central piece of the living room that was added by the design teams. But there are other examples: Botaca custom made sofa, & Tradition bar and dining tables or Zeitraum framed bed contributes to the house refreshing yet inspiring sophistication.
