In the Swiss Alps, 1760 meters over the water level lies Gaudin House, a building dated from the 19th century, now used as a holidays' refuge.
The house is located in an isolated area and with a privileged view over the valley. Most of the architectural original structure was kept in the small building, previously used as a barn. 
On the outside its rustic character is untouched and the whole façade is still covered in stone. On the inside, the team of architects from Savioz Fabrizzi Architectes revested every surface with wood, in order to make it a confortable space for the winter cold days. The large horizontal window on one of the living room’s walls, offers the certainty of a panoramic view over the Alps.
