Architect André Bacalov was looking for an apartment in São Paulo, close to his office, that would allow him to walk to work and receive him comfortably.
It was in this search that he found this bright apartment, with a ceiling height of 2.70m, a balcony and a good distribution of spaces.
The project was signed by TRiART Arquitetura, the office in which architect André Bacalov is a partner, and the result is a bright, cozy, minimalist and spacious environment. The starting point for André and his partners, Marcela and Kika, was the house in which the architect grew up with his parents Beatriz Dutra and Ciro Augusto, which was “white, well lit and light”.

“The walls next to the entrance door (wall of the painting, TV and beam) received a white texture by Texture & Cia, with the appearance of small roughcasts. The other walls were painted white and the windows received curtains made by Uniflex Cidade Jardim in the same color. The gray wool rug, by Phenicia, covers the entire floor of the room, which interrupts the white and complements it to provide comfort.”

The pictures in the apartment were made by the architect himself and designed especially for this space. The prints are from the family, they have been drawing for 9 generations. The furniture also has a funny story: the armchair with mustard fabric was from her maternal grandparents' house. “The dining table in Calacata Paraná, built by Stone House, was designed by TRiART partners, as well as the stool/bar used in the environment designed for CASACOR SP 2017, where it received a white painting to accompany the lightness of the project."
