Cláudio and Rodrigo were the clients of this project, signed by the architect Gabriel Magalhães, and they wanted “an old apartment that could be entirely renovated and had lots of light and ample spaces”. Large windows, abundant natural light and plenty of space are what most characterizes this house. The architect's idea, from the beginning, was “to open up the spaces as much as possible, find a light color palette and bet on punctual and design furniture”.
The apartment's refurbishment started in the living room area, which was expanded and now integrated with the kitchen, which was completely reconfigured. In the bedrooms, three in total, one has kept its original size, the other has been slightly reduced so that it is possible to introduce a closet in the master suite – the couple’s room, with the other two bedrooms for occasional guests. The bathrooms, which were already heavily damaged, were also completely remodeled.
From the project, architect Gabriel Magalhães highlights “the apartment's furniture and artworks”, such as the Costela armchair and the sculpture by Regina Misk, in the living room, or the metal bar-cart, leaning against the kitchen counter.
