In the Sonoma wine region, Ridge Design + Build's latest project reflects a commitment to sustainability, design, and a luxurious yet discreet lifestyle.
The property, located in the city's historic district, features a modern design that blends in with the natural beauty of the region. The Ridge Design + Build team drew inspiration from the clean, relaxed style of Southern California homes, incorporating straight, simple lines, shades of white oak, and a soft palette of earthy and caramel tones into the design.
The stucco finishes and the carefully designed landscaping for water conservation complete the look, striking a balance between refined simplicity and the relaxed charm of life in the wine region.
Taking a minimalist approach, the designers found inspiration in the style and craftsmanship of Italian brands such as Saba Italia, Nicoline Italia, and Tonelli. The influence of these brands is reflected in the soft curves, refined lines, and elegant touch of the decorative pieces.
The house's colour palette is calm and understated. Cool beige tones feature throughout the rooms, with subtle touches of colour in the bedrooms. Works of art are scattered throughout the property, adding just the right amount of personality to each space. The curved furniture echoes the architectural forms of the house, tying everything together visually.
The house was designed with sustainability and longevity in mind. The team carefully selected all materials to ensure longevity and quality. The building's infrastructure includes wells, a rainwater harvesting system, and solar panels. The land is covered with mature olive and oak trees and drought-resistant plants to increase privacy and reduce water consumption.
Every choice in the design reflects a concern for and commitment to the planet, without losing sight of the importance of design in creating a comfortable space that feels like home.
