Discreetly located on Shanghai's historic Shunchang Road, Hotel Arbour, designed by the CCD studio, is a serene reflection on time, memory and elegant living.
On this street, once home to the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, every stone evokes a remarkable cultural past. The Arbour pays homage to this heritage through architecture that echoes the proportions of the traditional lilong and shikumen, featuring bas-reliefs by master craftsman Liang Hangyu and stone sculptures by the chief restorer of the iconic Bund.
The interior unveils itself as a contemporary reinvention of a haipai mansion. In the lobby, the silhouette of Rong Zhai is reinterpreted through a restrained structural cadence, with dark herringbone marble floors and hammered glass details, metals and jade-textured handles.

Throughout the interior, retro pieces, warm lighting and cinematic elements stir a sense of romantic nostalgia.
