Diduh Bar is located on the top floor of a six-story building that was erected in the XVIII century in central Lviv.
It is a mansard roof where we tried to keep as much space as possible. Eventually, we got a hall with its unique shape. At the highest point, the ceiling is about 5 meters in height. The ceiling and part of the walls are covered with timber.
“We hung three pots with plants above the bar counter to create some picturesque shades on the walls and scatter the bright sun rays that come through the windows” – said Dmytro Bonesko, an art director of YOD Group.
In Diduh Bar you can try Ukrainian bar mixology and signature cocktails. Their ingredients were prepared in their laboratory from local herbs and plants.
There is a high shelf behind the bar counter. Rows of dark-glass bottles that look like in some old-fashioned pharmacy. Laconic Magis bar stools stand next to the bar counter. Some of them have fur covers on seats. There also are Gropius Chairs by Ukrainian brand Noom and designer Kateryna Sokolova in the hall. They have three different upholsteries – gray wool fabric, dyed sheepskin, and cow leather.
The best place in the bar is in the lounge chair in front of the fireplace that design reminds of a portal with arches, which were typical for Romanesque architecture.
It has to be said that Lviv is a picturesque city that has recently become a gastronomic center not only of Ukraine but of the whole Eastern Europe. People come there for a weekend or longer to embrace the spirit of an old city with cobbled streets and also visit all kinds of local venues. It is difficult to offer something new and impressive in such a competitive niche. We decided to dig into some local traditions and develop them in a modern way. Diduh Bar offers visitors to embrace calmness and deep relaxation between hanging plants' shadows. Take a breath, smell herbs’ fragrances, and sit in a furry lounge chair in front of the fireplace, feeling the chamber-like ambiance.
