Hedvig Astrom always manages to be incredibly surprising with her projects. Pantone Smoothies shows perfectly that: a delicious color experiment where she mix together fruit and other natural ingredients, trying to find out if it is possible to create tasty smoothies in any Pantone color.
“I mix a lot of smoothies in my free time and after a while, I realized it worked like mixing paint. I research smoothie recipes with similar colors, and then picked out ingredients that I thought would taste good and get the right result”, explained the Swedish art director.

A fun and artsy project that aims to make healthy and delicious smoothies, not just pretty. Astrom also tried to use new kinds of ingredients “to make sure the flavors and photographs stay unique”. Now, the artist living in New York, is working on a project related to hotdogs and politics, but remains open to new smoothie ideas.
