Cradled by the warm wind and the unbroken silence found on these successive verdant slopes, we follow the drive on this aged property sitting on the high terraces of the Douro wine region (declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO), among vines and olive trees that seem to extend to infinity. Viewed from outside, with its white and intense yellow colours, it’s hard to imagine the grandeur to be found within Quinta da Côrte, a 19th Century family home, which has now been transformed into a sublimely beautiful retreat, that combines exceptional accommodation facilities with a profound passion for wine.

This is the outcome of a painstaking endeavour developed by Philippe Austruy, involving nearly five years of renovation work, after the owner gave carte blanche to Pierre Yovanovitch to develop the architecture and interiors project, surrounded by an experienced team with which he would share his well-defined vision for this project.
