The video “One day at the School” is the most recent project from Building Pictures and wants to show the daily routine in Maternelle du Lycée Français, in Barcelona, after the renovation signed by the Spanish studio b720 Fermín Vázquez.

The intervention aimed to create a dialogue between “the historical and the future school”, through the rehabilitation of one of the buildings and the construction of a new one with metal panels. In the new building, the facade is given by an envelope of vertical slats, which position, orientation and separation has been studied in order to provide optimum solar protection and efficiency.

The maintenance of the playful areas and the importance of chromatic and proportional games are part of the essence of the project that, through this video, show us the way kids own the space and enjoy its new structure.
