With the goal of preserving the vernacular Slovenian architecture the team from studio Ofis recovered an old barn that now serves as housing for tourists. The exterior was kept, while the interior was completely remodelled but remained faithful to the original essence of the space.
The access to the building is still made by the large ramp that now establishes the connection to the new loft apartment. The ample interior is covered in wood in every surface. Also the furniture seems to be a natural continuation of the space, developed from the same material and with simple lines, creating an harmony between the new and the traditional.
