The exhibition on MAK in Vienna is «an impressive portrayal of the development of Viennese modernism into a global brand». Focused on the work of the two modernist architects that were crucial for the development of this style in Vienna, Josef Hoffmann and Adolf Loos, the show presents the perspectives from these visionaries.
Apart from exhibiting the work of Loos and Hoffmann, Ways to Modernism also presents the historical context of their ideals, and provides examples of its influence on the work of some creators up to this day. The exhibition is divided into five chapters with a selection of buildings, furniture, objects and texts from Loos and Hoffmann.
Runs until 19 April 2015.
